Is EasyJet covered by EU261 compensation rules?

UK261, EU261 and the escalation route
EasyJet operates through UK- and EU-registered carriers, which is why one booking can straddle both regimes. The outbound from Gatwick, Luton or Bristol departs a UK airport and is a UK261 flight; the return from a Spanish or Italian airport departs the EU and is an EU261 flight, even on the same reservation and the same aircraft type.
